Point Break Live!
Peter Illes ( Stage Manager, Aussie Guy, u/s surfers) staged managed Point Break Live! in SF for many different runs of the show, and through his blood, sweat and tears is how it all comes together so seemlessly ever week. If you loved the show, find him, kiss him and give him gifts. If anything in the show did get messed up, we are sure it's not his fault. He also substitutes as a surfer when necessary, including the one with "Thank You!" written on his butt, so ladies, get out your cameras, cuz you never know when he and his booty will be making an appearance on stage...
James Cotner (Pappas) has been acting in the Bay area for twelve years. He has appeared in such movies as, The Pursuit of Happyness, EdTV, What Dreams May Come, Tin Cup, Twisted, and a few films of his own. James plays the drums and would some day love to ride a horse in a film. At the moment the "The Filmmaker" which James is the lead in, shares the screen with Ted Harvey and is making its rounds at film festivals. Point Break "Live" has been a wonderful experience for the last eighteen months here in San Francisco and I always love to work with a new Johnny each night. I want to thank everyone who has ever come to the show.
Ted Harvey (Bodhi) has been with the show since March 2008 performing the role of Bodhi nearly 100 times. Ted trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York and at ACT in San Francisco. Ted tends to take himself a little too seriously and brings the drama wherever he goes. He is known for quitting the show before each performance. His take on Bodhi is unequalled and should not be missed.
Sharon Rylander (Kathryn Bigalow/Tyler)Blah blah blah lots of improv blah blah some TV blah blah indie films, oh and Rylander met the real Kathryn Bigelow at a special screening of Point Break in Hollywood. She couldn't help but notice how much the two are alike. Except that Bigelow is taller, skinnier, and more likely to win an Oscar. Rylander has been surfing in the PBL! cast since its San Francisco debut in April '08. Blah blah blah, www.imdb.com/name/nm2081533 blah www.screamtest.com/sharon
Montgomery Paulsen (Agent Harp) has studied at many acting schools in the Bay Area including Jean Shelton, Berkeley Rep, ACT and the San Francisco School of Digital Filmmaking. He plays Agent Harp in the ongoing theater sensation Point Break LIVE! and can be seen in such movies as Funny People, Bottleshock, All About Evil, the Violent Kind and Two Mothers. Television credits include the San Francisco-based series, Trauma, as well as Extreme Forensics and Parenthood. Montgomery was born in San Francisco, and currently lives in Oakland, CA.
Sam Snowden (Roach), the perverted yet charming surf rat from Santa Cruz, is a self trained actor/ artist who uses words like "gnarly" and "sick" on a dialy basis. Besides being involved in local theatre, Snowden is a known figure in the bay area art scene, with works that poke fun at film and pop culture. His history, to say the least, is an interesting one, from clothing, optional schools, and gypse parents to jail time, Broads, and Barrels. Overall Snowden is a performer, whether it is on film, canvas, or a stage he thrives off the challenges presented to him.
John Moeslein (Nathaniel, u/s Harp) was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Die-hard Steelers fan. Served two tours in Iraq with Marine Light-Attach Helicopter Squadron 775, discharged in 2007. Moved out west a year ago, currently attending film school at AAU in San Francisco. Has the distinct honor of mooning the audience twice a week during 'Point Break LIVE!' at the Sony Metreon. Also featured in the independent feature film 'The Annual,' currently in post-production in San Francisco - www.theannualmovie.com Some people say he looks like a pale Chris Tucker.
Ryan Verzaal (Grommet) as an artist, musician, and shit-talker extraordinaire, Ryan has helped PBL move from Cellspace to its new Metreon location. With a bachelors and masters in performance and production, this is Verzaal's first return to being on a stage in over 9 years. Verzaal lives and works in San Francisco and when not surfing Kelly's, he can be found sailing his Cal 22 on the bay....just look for the boat with the huge "Don't Tread On Me" flag.
Jason Whalen ( u/s Surfer, Aussie Guy)I started my show biz career in 2000 doing Stage managing in traveling national competitions. I later graduated in 2001 with a BS in Finance from UC Berkeley. While the bubble burst for me with the stock market I made a decision to pursue my acting/ show business career full time. Doing commercials for Chase, Nike, and Toyota. TV: NBC's Trauma, and Facing Kate. I knew I found true love when doing my first theater run "Point Break LIVE!" in early of 2009. I wanted to produce the Metreon run, I found a great theater, the funding (most important!) and got together with the producers in LA to work a deal, and began running the show with my business partner. Currently in the works of looking at theaters in NYC to bring a different screen play to the theaters of lower east side. Stayed tuned for the next production to hit NYC in 2010 from Jason Whalen!

Callie Rickey(PA)Hi, my name is Calli and I play the role of the Cue Card Girl. I am new to the play, as well as the city. Point Break Live has made the move even more effortless, we have created a family within the cast. I think I have lost my liver and dignity in the process, but it has all been worth it. I got my BS in Political Science from UC Davis and am in the works of becoming a teacher. After a long travel stint in South America, I decided to make San Francisco home. When I am not doing the play or at work, I can be found at a good concert, playing outdoors, reading, cooking or just cooling out with my family and friends.. I am single and like men with big dicks. Thank you for coming to see our play!
